Digital CONNECTOR promotes collaboration between companies, entrepreneurs and citizens to share vision, experiences, knowledge and applications that can help to combat the pandemic from different areas and within its different phases.


Two ways of collaboration between people and organizations are proposed:

  • Open source applications, available and published. We only publishing the information about these solutions.
  • Organizations of all kinds with which we establish agreements to facilitate access to their solutions or coordinate a common action.

This site does not make recommendations for the use or contracting of any solution, at all times it will be entire decision of the entities and organizations interested.

Microsoft (Latinamerica)

IDB Lab has established a Memorandum of Understanding with the Microsoft Health Area (Latin America) for the dissemination and making available to the authorities and health institutions of the Region of its specialized solutions in the sector.

The Connector will also be incorporated, with Dr. Verdugo participating in the Advisory Council. For Bid Lab the collaboration of Microsoft.

IDB Lab maintains a stable relationship with Start-up Nation Central (SNC) of Israel. Faced with the SNC Pandemic, as one of the most advanced and reference technology initiative environments in the world, it is bringing together innovative and disruptive solutions and tools in the control and fight against the Pandemic that they make available to the Region.

The objective of the collaboration is to publish these solutions and actively promote their knowledge.

The first of these solutions is Hamagem, (the Shield), published by the Israeli Ministry of Health. Without prejudice to the free nature of the application, SNC is made available to facilitate integrations and developments based on this solution.

The division for the Southern Cone of the technological giant has formalized an agreement for its collaboration with the Connector. There are many projects and initiatives that will use the Covid19 resources that are being developed and enabled by Google and the objective of this Connector is to facilitate the knowledge and exchange of these solutions.

 
Telefonica

Telefonica

Telefonica has actively participated and led the development of the application for the management and control of the Pandemic of the Community of Madrid, which is being considered for its implementation at the national level in Spain. It is an open product and in the process of evolution integrating the functionalities that the health authorities require. It is designed to support a comprehensive process at the country level.

Telefonica and the IDB have established an Agreement to make this solution available to the countries of the Region.

Telefonica will also participate in the Advisory Council of the Connector.

There is an urgent, global need for an official WHO App to help contain and mitigate COVID-19. The app should support the WHO efforts and be available on a worldwide basis, with information tailored to the user’s location, culture and language. The app should also be sensitive to national needs and respect privacy. Once established, the system can be leveraged to proactively detect, respond early and prevent future pandemics.

Pan-European Privacy-Preserving Proximity Tracing

(PEPP-PT) makes it possible to interrupt new chains of SARS-CoV-2 transmission rapidly and effectively by informing potentially exposed people. A large and inclusive European team providing standards, technology, and services to countries and developers. We embrace a fully privacy-preserving approach. We build onwell-tested, fully implemented proximity measurement and scalable backend service. We enable tracing of infection chains across national borders.
