IDB Lab is the innovation and venture capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, the main source of development financing and knowledge for Latin America and the Caribbean.
We catalyze entrepreneurial innovation and foster the development and adoption of disruptive technologies by supporting startups and the ecosystems they need to thrive. We do this to generate new ways of addressing development challenges, with a strong focus on empowering vulnerable populations, and to drive new industries that create economic growth.
A thematic agenda addressing specific challenges:
- How to foster climate and environmental resilience and adaptation?
- How to increase access to quality essential services?
- How to generate greater opportunities for livelihoods throughout life?
